I was able to choose chapter books that were age appropriate for my students along with a new bean bag. This really helped define our reading center and is now the favorite to place to be in my classroom. \r\n\r\nI love watching my students eyes light up when they have new books to read. I was able to remove a lot of picture books and replace them with chapter books specifically for 4th and 5th graders. Some of my students have even checked out these books in addition to their library books because they cannot wait to finish their book. We now have enough robots that we can share one robot among three to four students. My students have enjoyed learning how to code online, but we can still use markers and papers to code with their own creativity.\r\n I love that we can also use these in science class to help us understand space concepts that are so hard to visualize. We have used them to show the pathway of the moon as well as the rotation of the four inner planets. \r\n The magnet boards that we received is helpful for the kids that struggle with drawing. You need to keep a consistent line width when drawing with the markers for Evo to follow. Sometimes this is difficult. The magnet boards include tiles that they can place side by side and still control what the robot does. \r\n Once again, thank you for your contribution to our classroom. It allows us to do so much more than our school budget does.
