Boy was I wrong!! This bean bag is huge!! It can fit anywhere from 6-8 students comfortably. The best part was my students' faces when they walked into the classroom and saw the bean bag in our reading center for the first time. Their eyes filled with excitement and joy at the thought of being able to sit on the bean bag with their friends. Now the bean bag has become a part of our classroom small group rotations. The students were constantly competing to see who would be able to sit on them. Oftentimes, because the beanbags were oversized, two-three students would sit on them at a time. The cushions that were provided by your generous donations have made it possible for every student in my classroom to have their \"own\" spot. Students get their cushions and sit on them or use them as pillows to lay on the floor while they are partner reading or working on submitting an electronic assignment. Some students have asked their parents for allowance to save for college.\r\n\r\nIn addition to financial literacy, the kindness rock-painting activity has had a lasting effect on their social-emotional growth. As they created their kindness rocks, students reflected on the importance of empathy, kindness, and fostering positive community relationships.
