The snacks and small toys you provided have already made a wonderful difference for my students. We've been using these items as incentives during our testing sessions and as rewards for sustained hard work throughout the day.\r\n\r\nOne moment that truly stood out was when my students first saw the prize bin—eyes lit up, smiles spread across the room, and the excitement instantly boosted their motivation. During a recent review activity, I watched students persevere through challenging questions because they were so eager to earn a special treat. It turned what is usually a stressful time into something fun, positive, and encouraging.\r\n\r\nBecause of your contribution, we're able to build a classroom environment where effort is celebrated and students feel proud of their progress. Our next steps include continuing our test-prep challenges and goal-setting activities, where these rewards help keep students engaged and confident.\r\n\r\nThank you again for giving my students something to look forward to and for supporting their hard work. The new floor desks and soft floor cushions are in constant use, completely transforming our approach to Math and Science! These flexible seating options have allowed us to create a collaborative, active-learning environment. We are currently utilizing the floor desks for our to build our multiplication and division problem solving skills where students can now easily gather in groups on the floor to work together on complex problems. Just last week, we had a fantastic \"aha!\" moment when group solved a tough multiplication problem by spreading out their work on the floor.\r\n\r\nThe moment the students first saw the materials was pure joy and excitement! Their initial reaction was a powerful mix of awe and curiosity, immediately drawn to the choice and comfort these new items offered. The cushions allow students to fidget naturally and find comfortable, focused positions, which is especially helpful during demanding tasks in Math and Science. The subtle addition of the decorative lights has been key, creating a calm, less-stressful atmosphere that helps students with sensory regulation stay settled and engaged. This level of personalized comfort and focus was simply not possible before, and it has energized our learning environment.\r\n\r\nThis project has set a new standard for our classroom, and we are already looking ahead to the next steps! Following our current Math unit where they are utilizing their new floor-based work zones, students will use their cooperative skills to tackle a more complex, culminating challenge. Specifically, they will be using math manipulatives to solve multistep multiplication and division problems. Your investment has not only funded resources but has also launched our students onto a path of deeper, more meaningful inquiry, supported by an environment where they feel comfortable, calm, and ready to learn. Thank you again for believing in our students and helping us bring this exciting educational experience to life.","fullyFundedDate":1755710215240,"projectUrl":"project/lets-get-these-kids-comfortable-and-foc/9447168/","projectTitle":"Let's Get These Kids Comfortable and Focused!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Guerrero","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3680590_orig.png?crop=560,560,x0,y18&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751646911698","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3680590"},{"teacherId":2870730,"projectId":9426539,"letterContent":"We are so grateful for your generosity in helping us bring flexible seating chairs, headphones, and a new shelf into our classroom! The excitement on my students' faces when they first saw the new materials was priceless. They immediately started exploring the flexible chairs, and now they love using them during small-group reading and independent work.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have been a game-changer for our independent work and testing. Students can now fully immerse themselves in audiobooks and educational programs without distractions, which has made a huge difference in their focus and comprehension. The shelf has helped us organize our learning resources so everything is easy to access—students are proud to keep our space tidy!\r\n\r\nThese resources have truly transformed the way we learn together. Right now, we're working on a collaborative research project, and the flexible seating has encouraged more teamwork and discussion. The next step for my students is to create digital presentations to share their findings, and they'll be using those headphones to record their own voiceovers.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students the tools to learn, grow, and feel excited about school every day.
