They immediately started planning how to use the colored markers and tape to design science posters, decorate their math charts, and add personal touches to their interactive notebooks. One group even used the masking tape to create a \"path\" showing the steps of the scientific method on our classroom wall — it quickly became a class favorite and reference point during experiments.\r\nThe rolling storage cart and cubbies have also made a huge difference. Students love having a clear place to find supplies, and it has helped us spend less time searching and more time learning. The buzzers have been a hit during review games — students cheer, laugh, and compete to solve math problems or answer science questions, turning practice into one of the highlights of the week.\r\nRight now, we're diving into a unit on energy and motion. Students are building small roller coasters and using the flashcards and workbooks for practice on measurement and graphing. With the new tools, they're creating colorful data charts to track their results, and their projects are not only accurate but also visually engaging.\r\nNext, we'll continue using these resources to support hands-on projects, review games, and daily practice. Most importantly, my students are developing pride in their work, excitement for learning, and confidence in their abilities — all made possible because of you.\r\nThank you for believing in my students and investing in their growth.","fullyFundedDate":1757515603955,"projectUrl":"project/stemstars-in-the-making-help-us-build/9421472/","projectTitle":"STEMStars in the Making: Help Us Build, Create & Explore!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vance","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10058984_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751218994404","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10058984"},{"teacherId":9708554,"projectId":8706564,"letterContent":"A well-organized supply organizer is significantly impacting students academic performance and overall classroom experience. Allowing students to easily find the exact pencil, eraser, or colored pencil they need without rummaging through a messy backpack makes transitions smoother and less time consuming. This simple solution has drastically reduces time wasted searching for supplies, and has allowed students to focus more on learning and less on logistical frustrations.\r\n\r\nThe supply organizer has promoted independence and responsibility. By providing students with a designated space for their materials, they have learned to manage their belongings effectively. This had fostered a sense of ownership over their learning environment and encouraged them to take pride in keeping our supplies neat and organized. Furthermore, a well-stocked organizer had reduced classroom disruptions caused by students constantly asking to borrow supplies from peers.\r\n\r\nThe excitement surrounding the introduction of the supply organizer was palpable. Students have expressed enthusiasm for the prospect of having a designated space for classroom materials. The novelty of a new and organized system was motivating, and students are feeling a sense of pride in showcasing our well-maintained organizer. This excitement has translated into increased engagement in classroom activities, as students are more readily prepared and less likely to be distracted by supply-related issues.","fullyFundedDate":1726247030420,"projectUrl":"project/slippery-supplies-no-more/8706564/","projectTitle":"Slippery Supplies No More","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hess","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9708554_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753591322523","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9708554"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_11027","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":684,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":88,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":85,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":83.7,"schoolId":11027,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about McLaughlin Strickland Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"McLaughlin Strickland Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/carrollton-farmers-branch-isd/neil-ray-mclaughlin-elementary-school/11027"}
