We learned a lot just by acting out parts of the story and the students really enjoy being party of our read alouds. I have one particular student who really enjoys this book being read to him. From the first day that students stepped in my classroom, they were easily able to find books at their level that caught their interest because of the organization that these materials provided. With the four book shelves, we now have ample space for me to continue building our classroom library. The students were most excited to see that we have four \"comfy chairs\" in our library for them to use. It was a fight the first week of school over who would get to use them first, but having students arguing over who gets to go read first is music to my ears. \r\n\r\nThank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me instill a love of reading in these kids. Since receiving our paper, labels, sheet protectors, dry erase markers, erasers, Ziplock bags, and colored paper, the engagement in my classroom has been at an all time high.\r\n\r\nWhen preparing for our state assessments, I was able to create centers using the materials you provided that gave my students a break from all the practice test questions and engaged them in fun, hands-on activities to practice for the test. Students also engaged in many different math center activities including \"Battleship\" to practice graphing and a water bottle flip challenge to practice collecting data. To prepare for our science test, I was able to create science rotation stations using folders and the clear page protectors. Students loved having the independence to rotate to stations they needed more practice with. \r\n\r\nYou have brought so much joy and learning into our classroom. Our gratitude is endless! When I began the year, I purchase what I thought was a generous amount of classroom materials to go around, but quickly found that more than 3/4ths of my students came to school without something from their supply list- whether it was glue, scissors, or notebooks. We made due with what we had, but this large donation from you all turned the tide for the productivity in the classroom. \r\n\r\nSince getting these materials, we've put together beautiful notebook spreads that have included guided notes, interactive sorts, and the input/output method of content engagement. The students get excited to go to their notebook stations. \r\n\r\nThe future of the notebooks is strong in my classroom. I spent the winter break researching ways to make the notebooks even more helpful for my students as we begin preparing for our state's standardized testing, and I couldn't be more excited to see how these materials will have impacted their growth in scores. \r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for investing in my students!","fullyFundedDate":1727957264810,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-minds-on/8818339/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Minds-On","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Birdwell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9776836"},{"teacherId":9214226,"projectId":8787624,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of alphabet learning toys to my classroom.
