We started with Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn, and the students have truly enjoyed this gentle, beautifully illustrated story that guides us through the changing seasons. While fall arrives a bit more slowly here in East Texas than it does in the book, it has sparked some great conversations about the seasons, months of the year, and even holidays—some students still excitedly respond with \"Halloween\" when asked what season we're in! This story has also given us the opportunity to work on articulation, story grammar, predicting, sequencing, and important literacy concepts such as title, author, illustrator, cover, and spine.\r\n\r\nAs we move into the Halloween season, I'm especially excited to share The Hallo-Wiener with my students—a longtime favorite of mine. Its themes of teasing, unlikely heroes, and redemption always resonate with the kids, and I know it will spark meaningful discussion (and lots of laughter!).\r\n\r\nWhat I love most about using these books in speech therapy is how engaged the students are—they're working hard without even realizing it. The learning feels fun and meaningful, and that's truly the best kind of work.\r\n\r\nI am sincerely grateful to each of you for making this possible by funding our project.
