They are able to do their schoolwork that we do on our iPads more efficiently now that they have the headphones. Also, the magnet tiles are the biggest hit when it comes to center time.\r\n\r\nI would just like to take this time to take everyone who makes this possible, especially the Bezos Family Foundation if not for you all my class would not be able to get the work done tha we have accomplished now . Lastly, I'd like to think this organization for letting a teacher like me be able to put a list out there thinking that nobody would see it and I was able to help my students. Thanks to you guys.","fullyFundedDate":1769192069736,"projectUrl":"project/building-blocks-and-headphone/9951654/","projectTitle":"Building Blocks and Headphone","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Majors","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10065379"},{"teacherId":9839009,"projectId":9338043,"letterContent":"Thank you so incredibly much for your gift of genorosity!\r\nThanks to your donations towards a class set of headphones-my students are able to \r\nengage in individualized learning and tutoring sessions to improve their reading and math fluency and abilities. The students are able to concentrate on their individual lessons without the distraction of a cacaphony of voices as students read aloud and practice decoding words and mathmatical fluency practice, Students also enjoy the ambiance of a productive, calm and, peaceful learning environment. Students are now beginning to make marked growth in their reading and math abilities because they can now concentrate on and actively participate in their personalized lessons. \r\n\r\nMy students are excited to engage in their lessons each day now, because they are also tracking their growth and, I attribute a great deal of it to being able to concentrate. As a note of reference, many of my students are below grade-level and the ability to receive scaffolded lessons on their ability level both on a device and with a small group of students in a teacher-led lesson is a tremendous help.\r\n\r\nPrior to receiving the headphones, the atmosphere was one of chaos and confusion as each student was speaking simultaneously, while raising their voices to be heard over each other. Not only were the students overstimulated, I was as well-to be honest. Now there is an barely audible hum of students learning and growing.","fullyFundedDate":1747187723915,"projectUrl":"project/just-hear-for-some-learning/9338043/","projectTitle":"Just \"Hear\" for Some Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9839009_orig.jpg?crop=737,738,x176,y741&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745725355179","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-c-jones-elementary"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_10884","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":498,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":59,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":48.3,"schoolId":10884,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Dishman Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Dishman Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/beaumont-independent-school-district/dishman-elementary-school/10884"}
