You see, the items you donated are just the first part. The discussions that come after that act of kindness are the second part. It's gratifying to hear first graders talk about how they would like to help others, or where they see a possible need in their community. They are on their way to becoming generous and thoughtful adults.\r\n\r\nWe have immediately put our new supplies to good use. Our white boards get used every single day, multiple times a day. Our new books were integrated straight into our classroom library where everyone can access them. Our paper organizer is keeping our important work in order. The ink pads were brought out last week to practice word work, as well as the dotters. Every single thing you helped fund has gone straight into the hands of my students. It was so much cuter than I could have imagined and it matched our classroom theme perfectly. It made the excitement of the first day of school even better. When the students came into the room they were excited to see such a fun carpet on the floor. \r\n\r\nThe carpet is the center of attention in the classroom. It is bright and happy and matches perfectly with the rest of the classroom. We sit on our carpet as a whole group multiple times a day and the group fits perfectly.
