The moment I received the storage item, which included the headphones and noise-cancelling headphones, my students were excited to use them. It was the beginning of the school year, and students were settling in with school supplies. I was getting ready to implement independent and station routines that required headphones. My students were allowed to enhance their learning by listening to their school applications online, which allowed them to obtain their personal accommodations when needed for testing and activities.\r\nIt has been a great help when the students are testing, and a few of them would like to have the noise cancellation during their testing. The headphones have also been helpful to the students who have accommodations, and they are able to use them because of the headphones! The students are grateful that they have the supplies they need to complete activities. I am also very grateful that the items were donated to my classroom, and my students can use these resources!","fullyFundedDate":1756688245783,"projectUrl":"project/great-hearing-allows-great-educational-o/9577735/","projectTitle":"Great Hearing Allows Great Educational Opportunites","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Leal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9647558_orig.jpg?crop=601,601,x0,y28&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754957410370","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9647558"},{"teacherId":8772333,"projectId":9120626,"letterContent":"We are truly grateful for your gift of helping to fulfill this project. These books are on the latest 2x2 Book List, which are chosen by a committee of librarians who are part of the Texas Library Association. These books are newly published picture books which are deemed quality titles for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Although these are picture books, they are still enjoyed by all our students at our elementary even up to 5th grade. \r\nI was able to do a book tasting for this project where I displayed the books at tables in the library. Each Kinder through 2nd grade class come during their library time the students rotated tables every 5 minutes so they had a chance to preview books to see which ones interested them for future checkouts. \r\nI was then able to do a read aloud with the remaining time of their library class. Thank you so much for this gift that will be enjoyed by all the students at our school.","fullyFundedDate":1740111103438,"projectUrl":"project/early-literacy-is-so-essential/9120626/","projectTitle":"Early Literacy Is So Essential","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Olson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8772333_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y44&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1667680912161","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8772333"},{"teacherId":8772333,"projectId":8958303,"letterContent":"We are so thankful for your generosity in contributing to this project and helping to fulfill it. The books in this project are Bluebonnet Books, which are twenty books that are chosen each year by a committee of Texas librarians who are part of the Texas Library Association. These books are deemed to be quality books for grades 3-6, and they try to include different genres, picture books, chapter books, and graphic novels. \r\nSince becoming the librarian at Pillow Elementary I have been blessed to receive the Bluebonnet Books each year through Donors Choose. I have challenged our third through fifth graders with reading at least five of the twenty books to gain admittance to a party where they get goodie bags. popular snacks and candy. Every year I have had more students join the party. The bonus is that even if they don't want to complete the challenge is that they still can borrow these books from the library if it interests them. These books are highly circulated and popular among the students. \r\nWe had a book tasting party with these new Bluebonnet Books received so that students can preview the books that they can read for the following Bluebonnet Challenge. The students can see what books interest them and prepare to check them out for the rest of the current school year and the following school year.","fullyFundedDate":1733507588821,"projectUrl":"project/5-bluebonnet-books-a-semester-brings-a-r/8958303/","projectTitle":"5 Bluebonnet Books a Semester Brings a Reading Party!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Olson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8772333_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y44&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1667680912161","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8772333"},{"teacherId":8772333,"projectId":8826324,"letterContent":"Our students at Pillow Elementary School, love the new non-fiction books that were purchased by you.
