In our Title I Pre-K classroom, many of my students come to school carrying big emotions, busy minds, and sometimes even hungry tummies. Your donation removed barriers and replaced them with opportunity, comfort, and joy.\r\n\r\nThe snacks you provided have made an immediate and meaningful difference. For some of my students, school snacks are more than just a treat — they are fuel. When little bodies are nourished, little minds can focus. I've seen fewer tears during transitions, longer attention spans during lessons, and more positive interactions between peers. A simple snack has helped create stability in their day and allowed them to fully participate in learning.\r\n\r\nThe books you helped place into our classroom have sparked curiosity and imagination in beautiful ways. Our shelves are now filled with stories that invite children to see themselves as readers. During circle time, eager hands shoot up to turn pages, predict what will happen next, and share connections to their own lives. Students who were once hesitant are now asking to \"read\" to their friends during centers. These moments are building early literacy skills, vocabulary development, and most importantly, a love for books that will follow them long after they leave my classroom.\r\n\r\nThe building materials and hands-on learning tools have strengthened both academic and social growth. Through block structures and collaborative play, students are practicing problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication. I hear them using phrases like \"Let's try again,\" and \"Can I help you?\" These materials have encouraged teamwork, patience, and perseverance. They are learning how to share ideas, negotiate roles, and celebrate each other's successes — skills that are just as important as letters and numbers.\r\n\r\nEven the laminating sheets and classroom materials have made an impact. Durable, reusable learning tools allow us to practice skills repeatedly, giving students the confidence that comes with mastery. Activities stay fresh, organized, and accessible, creating an environment that feels structured and intentional.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your support has helped create a classroom atmosphere where children feel valued. They see that people outside our school care about them and believe in their potential. That message is powerful. It tells them they matter.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our classroom is brighter, calmer, and filled with possibility. You didn't just fund supplies — you invested in confidence, creativity, nourishment, and foundational learning experiences during some of the most important developmental years of a child's life.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in my students. Your generosity is shaping their present and strengthening their future in ways that will last far beyond this school year.","fullyFundedDate":1768765073899,"projectUrl":"project/learning-starts-with-care-in-pre-k/10038175/","projectTitle":"Learning Starts with Care in Pre-k","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Resendez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8820332_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770997861668","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8820332"},{"teacherId":10221921,"projectId":9647802,"letterContent":"I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom. Your support has been a true blessing, and the impact on my students has been even greater than I anticipated.\r\n\r\nThanks to your contribution, students are more motivated and engaged in their learning. They are also developing important skills that would not be possible without these materials. Their faces—full of happiness, focus, and pride—truly say it all.\r\n\r\nThis project has two main components. First, the Dr. Seuss books are used for daily read-alouds and discussions about the meaningful lessons hidden within the stories, helping to strengthen students' reading comprehension. The rhymes in the books have also introduced students to poetry in an enjoyable and accessible way. These books have become a daily routine in our classroom and are also used as a reward for students who complete their work early.\r\n\r\nThe second part of the project involves using LEGOs to encourage writing. Students are given time to build a creation using the pieces in their assigned tray, and then they draw and write about what they have built. This activity has been incredibly successful—students ask to do it every day, and it is a joy to see every child writing enthusiastically and putting forth their best effort to explain their own ideas. You have given them a meaningful reason to write.\r\n\r\nThank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and for believing in my students.
