We are using the storage bins and file crates to house independent reading folders and targeted intervention materials, which allows students to quickly access what they need during small-group instruction. The LED clocks have been especially helpful in building time management skills during timed writing responses and reading stamina practice. One powerful moment came during our recent literacy workshop when students used their new folders and bookmarks to track their progress through a nonfiction analysis project. Watching them confidently organize their materials and take ownership of their learning was a visible shift from where we started at the beginning of the year.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited. Something as simple as colorful bookmarks and new motivational posters made them feel seen and valued. Several students commented that the classroom felt \"official\" and \"put together.\" The label maker and storage upgrades may seem small, but for many of my students in a Title I high school setting, having a well-organized and thoughtfully prepared space communicates that their education matters. That reaction alone was priceless.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include expanding our literacy stations and continuing our current reading comprehension unit with more structured rotations. Students will use the anchor chart paper to create collaborative strategy posters, and the organized supply system will support an upcoming argumentative writing project where students will research, annotate, and present evidence-based claims. Because of you, we are not just completing assignments — we are building systems that promote independence, confidence, and long-term academic growth.","fullyFundedDate":1764734564126,"projectUrl":"project/mustangs-getting-back-on-track/9700776/","projectTitle":"Mustangs Getting Back On Track","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Love","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10249868_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x281,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758810724843","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10249868"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_15879","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":703,"numTeachers":52,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":66,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 9","studentTeacherRatio":"13.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":61.5,"schoolId":15879,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Aldine Ninth Grade School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Aldine Ninth Grade School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/aldine-independent-school-district/aldine-9th-grade-school/15879"}
