The addition of a color printer, new books for our classroom library, and comprehension card sets has already made a meaningful impact on my students' daily learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThe color printer has transformed the way we approach visuals and assignments. With the ability to print in color, students now interact with more vibrant anchor charts, visual aids, and differentiated learning materials that better capture their attention and support comprehension. For example, vocabulary words paired with vivid images have helped many of my English Language Learners grasp meaning more quickly. Having access to high-quality printed materials tailored to student needs has created a more inclusive and effective learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe classroom library has been a huge hit! Students were thrilled to see brand-new books on the shelves, especially titles that reflect their own interests and cultures. Many now eagerly browse the shelves during independent reading time, excited to dive into new stories. The comprehension cards have sparked lively discussion groups, where students use them to guide conversations, make predictions, and deepen their understanding of what they read. They love the challenge and fun of working with the cards—it's like turning reading into a game.\r\n\r\n\r\nOne student, who used to shy away from reading activities, has blossomed since we added the new books and comprehension tools. She gravitated toward a graphic novel from our new library and used the comprehension cards to guide her reflections. With the support of printed visuals from the color printer, she's now one of the most enthusiastic participants during literacy centers. Another student, Carlos, benefits greatly from the visual aids we create using the color printer—especially in science and social studies. He's more engaged and confident in discussions because the visuals help him make stronger connections to the content.\r\n\r\nYour support has brought color, excitement, and deeper learning into our classroom. Thank you for believing in our students and giving them tools that truly inspire their love for learning.","fullyFundedDate":1746787264927,"projectUrl":"project/readers-today-leaders-tomorrow/9267627/","projectTitle":"Readers Today, Leaders Tomorrow","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Parker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp528689_orig.jpg?crop=449,449,x0,y41&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1680622378823","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mssrparker"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_93215","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":470,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":76,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":22,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":42.0,"schoolId":93215,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cromwell Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cromwell Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/tennessee/memphis-shelby-county-schools/cromwell-elementary-school/93215"}
