It instantly became the most exciting spot in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWe now use it every day during small group lessons, especially in math. One of my favorite moments was when we used it to draw base ten block models together in small groups. The room was full of energy. Students were engaged, explaining their thinking, and eager to show their work. The table made transitions faster and gave every student a chance to participate in a hands-on way. Watching them light up as they shared ideas made me so proud.\r\n\r\nWe'll keep using the table to work out problems with different models in math, and it's also become a great space for ELA lessons like writing tricky words or planning out stories together. This one piece of furniture has made such a big difference in how my students learn, collaborate, and feel about coming to class.","fullyFundedDate":1746785922655,"projectUrl":"project/write-wipe-and-repeat-a-table-for-eng/9094370/","projectTitle":"Write, Wipe, and Repeat: A Table for Engaged Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Iza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8160501_orig.jpg?crop=1128,1128,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1655817528789","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-iza"},{"teacherId":10055351,"projectId":9432522,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom. Not only were the students excited about all of the flexible seating, admin thought it was a wonderful idea. I have been able to introduce them to the kids during the first weeks of school and they already love them so much!! It has helped with several of the busy bodies that have a hard time sitting still. It has been a good quick incentive that I am able to give or take away based on how a child is doing and that has helped with classroom management. They jumped right in, exploring the new materials without hesitation. It was amazing to see their curiosity take over as they began building and experimenting together.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the new resources during indoor recess and summer school STEM bin rotations. The materials have added so much value to both structured and free-choice times. During intervention rotations, students use the toys in small groups, which helps them build collaboration and problem-solving skills while getting a much-needed brain break from traditional work.\r\n\r\nOur next step is continuing to rotate new challenges into the STEM bins like seeing who can build the tallest structure, create a marble run with two successful paths, or design a 3D shape using only magnetic rods. These activities are helping students stay engaged and excited about learning, even during summer school!\r\n\r\nThank you so much for supporting our classroom.
