The students at South Doyle High school talk about being creative all the time, and I would see them want to express it in so many ways. \r\n\r\nYou have allowed them to show their creativity in ways they have not been able to do. You have also allowed them to demonstrate mastery in a multitude of ways. \r\n\r\nThe children were so excited to see the markers. They could not stop asking when the next project would be! Currently we are in our novel unit and the kids are using the markers to create character posters for the book. The markers really allow them to not only show what they know, but they also get to show their creative side! \r\n\r\nI also have kids who are going through a lot at home, so allowing them a space to just sit and color for a brain break or when they are finished with work has been a life saver! They are not reaching for technology, they want to color! Thank you again for everything!","fullyFundedDate":1746785841613,"projectUrl":"project/color-outside-the-lines-inspiring-young/9113711/","projectTitle":"Color Outside the Lines: Inspiring Young Artists","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Inman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9595425"},{"teacherId":9740750,"projectId":8589523,"letterContent":"Donating school supplies such as play dough, construction paper, pencils, and other materials to a high school health science room can significantly enhance the learning environment. While high school students may not typically associate play dough and construction paper with their subject area, these supplies can play a vital role in hands-on, interactive learning. Play dough, for instance, can be used for anatomy lessons, helping students model organs, muscles, and other structures in a tactile way, which promotes deeper understanding and memory retention. Construction paper, similarly, can be used for creating visual aids, charts, and diagrams that visually represent health concepts such as the circulatory system, cellular processes, or even mental health awareness.\r\n\r\nMoreover, the donation of basic supplies like pencils and paper ensures that all students have the necessary tools to complete assignments, take notes, and engage in coursework. Having access to these materials removes barriers to participation, fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed. When students are equipped with the proper resources, they are more likely to stay engaged and perform better in class, which is especially important in a field like health science, where understanding complex topics is essential. Overall, these donations support not only the academic growth of students but also their creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration of health-related topics. We appreciate your support and help with our classroom needs.","fullyFundedDate":1733163476183,"projectUrl":"project/help-my-students-get-supplies/8589523/","projectTitle":"Help My Students Get Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rhodes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9740750"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_92785","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":992,"numTeachers":83,"percentFrplEligible":71,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":70,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"12.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":92785,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about South-Doyle High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"South-Doyle High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/tennessee/knox-county-schools/south-doyle-high-school/92785"}
