We were able to successfully use the two sets of lapel microphones for our musical play. Our students were so excited to have this technology to utilize for their performance. Instead of only having stationed microphones on our stage, eight of our performers were able to wear the headset lapel microphones to freely act out the script without feeling confined to one microphone. The performance was a major success with many people saying they could hear and understand the students acting and singing. All of the students were excited to receive the lapel microphones. They wished that each cast member could have had their own lapel microphone to use for the musical play.\r\nPlease know that your support and generous giving has contributed to a life long love of music making at our school by having the lapel microphone sets to use for every performance in the future. \r\nWe want to say a big \"THANK YOU\" for this opportunity to ensure our performances are heard with quality sound equipment.","fullyFundedDate":1733278226789,"projectUrl":"project/can-you-hear-me-now/8899836/","projectTitle":"Can You Hear Me Now?","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Leichman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9165443_orig.png?crop=406,406,x0,y35&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691420634772","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9165443"},{"teacherId":134118,"projectId":8992370,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the books your donation bought for our school library. For fifth graders, they were ecstatic about having their own ukulele tuners to use as well as the picks for strumming. They were appreciative of being able to have their own individual tuner to quickly make adjustments with the tuning strings in between warm up exercises and songs. It also made the tuning process go by faster and allowed more use of class time to work on the skills needed for playing the ukulele. They also loved the assorted colors of the ukulele picks. The picks came in handy to help alleviate any stress on the students' hand while strumming the instrument. As the educator, I appreciated the tuners to help teach students how to independently tune their own instrument and learn the basics of tuning a string instrument. All elementary school students were able to use the bean bags to help learn rhythmic concepts and to demonstrate maintaining a steady beat. They loved the ability to use them for our music games and songs. It is a wonderful resource to use for the entire class since they are relatively safe and provide students with the \"hands-on\" kinesthetic outlet for showing their knowledge of the musical skills. Lastly, the drum heads have made a huge difference in students' playing and overall sound of the instrument. With new drum heads, students were able to clearly demonstrate rudimental skills to articulate and perform at a high caliber. Recently, the drum heads were used at the annual Christmas parade where the entire community could hear and enjoy the music. Students were excited to show off the new drum heads at this performance and beamed with pride and gratefulness for the donation. I will continue to use these resources in the classroom and provide my students with a quality music education that fosters a love for learning and performing.","fullyFundedDate":1726538597133,"projectUrl":"project/the-fully-equipped-musician/8787025/","projectTitle":"The Fully Equipped Musician","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Leichman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9165443_orig.png?crop=406,406,x0,y35&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691420634772","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9165443"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_92221","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":214,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":12,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":89,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":89.1,"schoolId":92221,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Friendsville Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Friendsville Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/tennessee/blount-county-school-district/friendsville-elementary-school/92221"}
