The snacks provided through this project have become an important part of our daily routine. One of the most powerful moments was seeing the relief on students' faces when they realized they could grab a snack and focus on their work instead of worrying about being hungry. That small act of care has made a big difference in their energy, participation, and confidence throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nWe use these resources in a very intentional way, students know that snacks are there to support their learning. For example, during a recent writing project, I noticed a student struggling to stay on task. After having a snack, their focus sharpened, and they were able to complete their story with pride. It's amazing how meeting such a basic need can unlock a student's potential and help them fully engage with lessons.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for my students are continuing to build stamina in their studies. Thanks to your support, they are able to tackle these challenges with fewer barriers, knowing that they are cared for in all aspects of their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1755708271764,"projectUrl":"project/because-you-cant-learn-when-youre-hung/9520410/","projectTitle":"Because You Can’t Learn When You’re Hungry","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rena","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9984281_orig.jpg?crop=2320,2320,x580,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743000451028","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-denoyer"},{"teacherId":9984281,"projectId":9212834,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has transformed into a more organized, focused space where students can truly thrive. The new resources are helping us stay on track, minimize distractions, and dive deeper into learning.\r\n\r\nWe've already been putting the materials to good use. For example, during a recent group reading lesson, students were able to gather resources quickly, stay on task, and share their work with each other more confidently because everything had a place. The organization has given them more independence and pride in their work.\r\n\r\nNext, we're building on this momentum with our upcoming unit. My students will be applying their focus and organizational skills to collaborative projects where they'll create presentations and teach each other key concepts. Because of your support, they have the tools they need to do this with confidence and clarity.\r\n\r\nYour contribution didn't just provide supplies, it gave my students a learning environment where they feel capable, valued, and ready to succeed.
