These resources have positively impacted my students from last year as well as my new students that started one month ago. \r\n\r\nThe books were used in our fourth quarter book clubs, and the bookmarks are being selected weekly as students need them to enjoy new books. I have a student this year that loves chess and competes outside of school. He has played on rainy days inside, and other students have started to teach their peers how to play. The storage bags will be used next week as my classes start exploring Greek and Latin roots with weekly words to cut out and sort, and additional bags will be used for our novel studies. \r\n\r\nStudents love the bookmarks and have been thrilled with the selection of games to use on our extremely hot days that are shifting students inside for recess.\r\n\r\nI am looking forward to seeing my new students enjoying Pax Journey Home!! Once we finish the first book in the Percy Jackson series, students often enjoy exploring more books by Rick Riordan, and I am thrilled with all of the new options that my students will have waiting for them on our bookshelves.\r\n\r\nIn my classroom, I have a set of bookshelves designated for nonfiction books and another set of bookshelves designated for fiction books. In addition, I have extra bookshelves for series. Students are always welcome to borrow classroom books for as long as they want to. We read during homeroom, on Tuesdays during advisory, after assessments in ELA, and during the first 10 minutes of ELA during different quarters in the year. I have flexible seating options, so students can read around the room. \r\n\r\nI have a large group of students that enjoy reading fantasy books, and they are excited about the new additions and having Rick Riordan series. I can't thank you enough for providing additional books for our classroom library and for the sweets to enjoy during review activities and novel readings.
