The bright colors caught their attention right away, and they could not wait to go outside and get started. With our Kâ2 students, we transformed the playground into an outdoor museum. They carefully created pictures on the concrete floor, then proudly framed their artwork with chalk borders as if they were hanging them in a gallery. Students took turns walking around, admiring each other's pieces, and pretending to be museum visitors.\r\n\r\nWith our 3â5 students, we took a more focused approach. They practiced drawing faces, paying special attention to details like the shape and expression of the eyes. This challenged them to look closely and slow down, while still enjoying the freedom of creating with chalk.\r\n\r\nThe best moment was seeing students step back from their work and beam with pride! Many called their classmates over to share what they had made. The chalk gave us an immediate way to build both creativity and community.\r\n\r\nAlthough our bubbles arrived a little later, we are so excited to use them soon. We plan to turn bubble play into an observational art activity, encouraging students to watch the shapes, colors, and movement closely and then translate those observations into drawings.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us bring more creativity and joy into our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1745846952326,"projectUrl":"project/outdoor-art-exploration-with-chalk-bub/9221465/","projectTitle":"Outdoor Art Exploration with Chalk & Bubbles!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pozzo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9989063_orig.jpg?crop=100,100,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743549682548","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9989063"},{"teacherId":5647689,"projectId":8893872,"letterContent":"I wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your incredibly generous contribution to our DonorsChoose project.
