The novels are and will continue to motivate my students and allow me to use high interest texts to teach English Language Arts skills. Seeing middle schoolers motivated and engaged in reading is exciting and fulfilling as an educator. There are multiple copies of so many more novels that students will be able to read independently and as a class. Giving my middle schoolers the freedom to make choices is invaluable. Watching them enjoy and dig into what they choose to read is beautiful. Having a way to organize the novels in my classroom is priceless. \r\nHaving such a huge variety of novels to cover so many interests of my middle school students is amazing. It can be difficult to get middle school students motivated to read independently without high interest texts that spark enjoyment. My number one goal as an ELA teacher is to create life long readers. There is a quote, I am not sure of the source, that reads, \"If you want to be a better reader, read. If you want to be a better writer, read.\" I believe this with all my heart. The students were truly excited about their reading.
