The kids were elated when they opened the package and saw the camera and accessories. It has already been put to good use! \r\n\r\nSome ways we have used our Instax Evo include taking pictures of students and with classroom awards to send home to families. We also did a school based project where we created a test taking strategies bulletin board to go in the main hallway of the school. We had so much fun setting up props and visiting different classrooms around the school to take pictures of students to post on the board. The rainbow visual timers are SO much fun and the kids love to have them on their desks. They provide a subtle reminder of how much time they have to complete assignments or have breaks which decreases anxiety. The students LOVE the sensory tubes. They seek these out when they are feeling upset or anxious and love watching the colors join and separate. Because of your generous donations, I have been able to keep our snack bin full and even offer breakfast items to students outside of my class who have come to school hungry. The special candy items were extremely motivating during our winter testing for the students to earn, and there are still plenty left! \r\n\r\nHaving items like this available for the students makes it easy to ensure they have full bellies and are able to focus on their learning. In Title One schools, many don't understand the levels of traumas and basic needs that aren't met when students come to school. All of these factors can hinder a child's ability to learn and retain academic skills.
