The books I chose are being used daily in small groups to support the phonics skills taught in my classroom during our English Language Arts block. \r\n\r\nAs we read the books, students use the decoding skills that they already know in conjunction with the skills currently being taught to read the books accurately and fluently. These books also have activities that go along with the text to extend the learning, such as writing prompts and matching games.
