The addition of a DeWalt 20V drill, ear plugs, and safety gloves has made a tremendous difference in our set construction projects.\r\n\r\nThe new drill gives more students the opportunity to actively participate in construction instead of waiting for a tool to become available. My students are learning how to safely use power tools while building stage flats, platforms, and other scenic pieces that will become part of our theatre program's stock.\r\n\r\nThe ear plugs and safety gloves are equally important. They allow me to provide my students with the proper protective equipment they need while working with power tools and construction materials. With larger class sizes, having enough safety equipment for everyone is essential.\r\n\r\nThese materials are giving my students the opportunity to learn by doing, build their confidence, and develop practical technical theatre skills in a safe environment.
