I am just diving into the content of the class and am already learning so much about social emotional learning and wellness. The class will be fully complete in June and I am looking forward to revamping classroom spaces, curriculum, and projects over the summer to incorporate everything I am learning. \r\n\r\nThe students and I have already started easing into the Yoga portion of the project. The students were a little worried to try Yoga at first, but now they are excited when they know it is coming. They were surprised at how challenging the moves were. Yoga has been helping them connect to their bodies and calm them down. It is a great opportunity to sneak some extra physical activity in as well. \r\n\r\nIt is really exciting to learn something in class and then bring it to my classroom and work on it with the students. They love knowing that I am a student too! Each week we try to incorporate a new strategy to give me practice teaching it and allow them the chance to learn something new. \r\n\r\nThank you for your continued support! I cannot wait to keep watching the positive changes these strategies will have on the students year after year!","fullyFundedDate":1736176885043,"projectUrl":"project/making-positive-changes-to-support-socia/8803537/","projectTitle":"Making Positive Changes to Support Social Skills and Emotional Regulation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Meighen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8922322"},{"teacherId":9411009,"projectId":8860542,"letterContent":"Having a rug donated to my classroom was truly an incredible experience for both me and my students. It made a huge impact in several ways, creating a more inviting, comfortable, and functional learning environment.\r\n\r\nFirst and foremost, the rug helped make our classroom feel like a warm and welcoming space. The added comfort of sitting on the rug allows students to gather together for lessons, activities, or reading time in a more relaxed and collaborative atmosphere. It's become a place where students feel more connected to each other, which strengthens our classroom community.\r\n\r\nFor many students, having a designated area to sit on the rug during group discussions or circle time has improved engagement and participation. It fosters a sense of belonging and makes them feel more at ease, which has boosted their confidence. This has been especially beneficial for our younger learners, who are just beginning to develop social and academic skills.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the social benefits, the rug has had a positive impact on classroom organization. With limited space, the rug helps define a clear area for group activities, preventing distractions and allowing students to focus more easily. It's a tangible way to create structure in our classroom, especially during lessons that require cooperation and team work.","fullyFundedDate":1728648161207,"projectUrl":"project/cool-carpet-for-creative-learning/8860542/","projectTitle":"Cool Carpet for Creative Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wiles","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9411009"},{"teacherId":7889812,"projectId":8883797,"letterContent":"This rug has been amazing to my third grade students and I!
