This allows our students to feel safe and our classroom feels like a home. We are also able to offer snacks during the end of the day for our students. \r\n\r\nStudents were beyond excited to have sensory fidgets attached to their desk. This allows them to use them in a meaningful way but also out of site out of mind. The sensory fidgets allow for students to continue to learn about also use sensory to help them. The sensory stickers are used on their binders and folders. \r\n\r\nLastly, the organization units have been essential in getting our classroom organized. Students find a sense of home and calmness when their environment is organized. Each child was also given chapstick to help during seasonal allergies and the cold season. Many of our students do not have this much needed supply. Our classroom is a much cleaners and smell free area with the help of the air fresheners, magic erasers and the broom kit. The lights have been able to create a calming atmosphere in our classroom, along with a homey feeling. The light covers have allowed for the bright lights to be not as bright, when we need to use the regular lights. The use of the yoga balls allows for active students to release some energy, all while learning.
