Because of your kindness, my second graders will have access to a collection of engaging chapter books and a welcoming reading space that fosters both independence and excitement for learning. Every child deserves the chance to fall in love with reading, and you are making that possible!\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, we will be able to add a variety of chapter books to help my students transition from picture books to more advanced stories. The Magic Tree House, Who Is/Who Was, Cam Jansen, Flat Stanley, National Geographic Kids, and The Never Girls book sets will provide diverse and engaging options for young readers at different levels. These books will strengthen their comprehension, expand their vocabulary, and encourage a sense of curiosity about the world. I can already imagine my students eagerly choosing books and discussing their favorite stories.\r\n\r\nYour generosity will also help transform our classroom into a functional and inviting reading space. The ECR4Kids Mobile Storage Cart will keep our books organized and easily accessible, allowing students to quickly find books that interest them and encouraging independent reading.\r\n\r\nThe addition of six lap desks and a set of five colorful stools will provide flexible seating options that allow students to find comfortable spots to read and work. Some students will love curling up in a quiet corner with a book, while others will enjoy working together in small reading groups. This flexibility will help create a classroom culture where students feel empowered to take charge of their own learning.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, school is the only place where they have access to books, and this library will open up new worlds for them. Your donation will not only provide essential materials but will also give them the gift of possibility—the chance to explore, dream, and develop a lifelong love of reading.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for investing in my students' futures. As a first-year teacher, my goal has always been to create a space where every student feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to learn—and thanks to you, that vision is becoming a reality.\r\n\r\nYour contributions have had a profound impact on my students. With your support, I was able to establish a calming area, where students can take a moment to self-regulate, reflect on their emotions, and return to learning with a renewed sense of focus. The sensory tools, pillows, and books in this space have made a world of difference, especially for students who need a safe and supportive place to reset.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, your generosity has helped us build a diverse and inclusive classroom library, filled with books that reflect the unique backgrounds, cultures, and experiences of my students. Seeing their faces light up when they find stories that represent them—or introduce them to new perspectives—has been truly inspiring. These books are not just teaching literacy; they are fostering empathy, understanding, and a love for reading.\r\n\r\nI have also witnessed the joy and creativity that your donations have sparked through the art supplies you helped provide. One of my students, who is mostly non-verbal, has been able to express their thoughts and emotions through drawing. This has not only strengthened their confidence but has also given them a powerful way to communicate and connect with others.\r\n\r\nEvery single item you helped provide has played a role in shaping a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. Thank you for believing in my students and for being a part of this journey. Your generosity has made a lasting impact, and I can't wait to see the continued growth and joy it will bring to our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1722877822777,"projectUrl":"project/new-classroom-loving-teacher-welcoming/8540598/","projectTitle":"New Classroom, Loving Teacher, Welcoming Environment Needs a Revamp!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Terry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9620039_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722902353575","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9620039"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_89558","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":758,"numTeachers":46,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":21,"percentBlack":27,"percentWhite":18,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 2","studentTeacherRatio":"16.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.7,"schoolId":89558,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sara Lindemuth Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sara Lindemuth Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/susquehanna-township-school-district/sara-lindemuth-elementary-school/89558"}
