The dry erase markers and materials are going to continue to be used on our student desks for engaging lessons. We received new, donated desks recently that have wipeable surfaces so this is perfect. \r\nDuring cold and flu season especially, cleaning supplies are definitely needed to ensure student attendance is a priority. I typically spend a lot of my own money on these products, so having them donated this time is truly a blessing!\r\nAdditionally, we all know that learning can truly take place when students have their basic needs met. The snacks and treats are aiding many of our students who may go without necessary food for nourishment. We often find that they need extra food not only in school, but in the evenings and on weekends when food at home may be scarce.\r\nThe students were delighted to get snacks and are interested in using the markers regularly for lessons. We will all appreciate staying healthy in the months ahead. \r\nGod bless you for your kindness! This can look like a lot of different things: a girl who needs a tampon, someone who hasn't eaten all weekend, or a student who is too anxious to go to class and needs a way to calm down. All of these things impact their learning in ways larger than we can either comprehend. When our students aren't feeling their best - full, calm and clean - they are unable to fully engage with their teachers, peers, and classwork in meaningful, long-lasting ways.\r\n\r\nWhen I first received my project and unpacked it, students were stopping in to ask for things they needed all day, as they usually do. They have come to learn that my office is a resource for them, somewhere they can go where they are safe, not judged, and can get the things that they need. They were able to see all of the new materials that were available to them in their care closet, in my sensory bins and \"take what you need\" areas, and snacks if they are feeling hungry. On the first day of receiving my project, I was able to make a care package for a girl to take home who is struggling with ongoing food insecurity. Because of your generous donation, I am able to provide my students with the things they need to get through the day happy, healthy, and a little better than they may have walked through my door.","fullyFundedDate":1768614856407,"projectUrl":"project/all-about-feelings-feeling-clean-full/10021681/","projectTitle":"All About Feelings - Feeling Clean, Full & Calm!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Weid","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10404474"},{"teacherId":6870255,"projectId":9371012,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our project, Help My Students Become Money Smart Through Games! Because of you, my students will now have the chance to build lifelong financial skills in a way that is fun, engaging, and memorable.\r\n\r\nWith the interactive games you helped fund—like Monopoly, The Game of Life, and the Bank Account Money Game—my students will experience real-world money choices in a safe classroom setting. These activities will give them the chance to practice budgeting, saving, and spending wisely while learning the importance of financial responsibility. For many of my students, this will be their first opportunity to explore financial literacy in such a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nYour gift is making a lasting difference. Instead of just reading about money management, my students will now live it through hands-on play and collaboration. I know these lessons will stay with them well beyond our classroom walls and empower them to make better decisions for their futures.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and myself, thank you again for your kindness and investment in their learning. It has made a world of difference to so many families, and we are incredibly grateful for your commitment to supporting music education.\r\n\r\nThe excitement and gratitude from our students have been overwhelming, and they are eager to begin using the new reeds in their rehearsals and performances.
