Many of our donors use technology at home for entertainment, but in our classroom, this technology is a bridge to emotional regulation, focus, and self-awareness.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting parts for students has been using the headphones with the iPad to create a peaceful, private experience. They love choosing calming music or short nature sounds when they're feeling overwhelmed. The theraputty has also been a huge hit, students describe how it helps them \"squeeze their stress away\" and come back ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWe've seen incredible success stories from students who used to struggle to stay in class after getting upset. Now, they visit the Calm Corner, practice a few of their strategies, and rejoin group activities calmly and confidently. We use it daily in our classrooms for reading and math. This table has helped us utilize that with ease. Regular tables were too wide and the students struggled to really look at the images.
