The tree stump storage, sleeping bags, lantern, toy fire, camping accessories, play silks, and shadow puppets, combined with the beautiful canvas tent gifted by The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, have transformed on of our classroom centers into an immersive campsite. \r\n\r\n Students can now engage in both real and make-believe outdoor activities daily, as they enact camping trips, nature adventures, and more. This hands-on experience is enhanced by lessons and books on nature, helping students connect with the natural world in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\n When the materials were first introduced, the excitement in the room was palpable- students couldn't wait to dive in and start exploring. As we continue this project throughout the spring, we will add even more activities to further ignite their curiosity and deepen their connection to nature. This incredible gift has provided our students with a truly unforgettable learning experience.
