During our independent reading block, students choose a spot that suits their learning style—some prefer sink-in comfort with a book on a bean bag, while others sit on a wobble cushion to keep their bodies gently active while tackling tricky text.\r\nOur book bins have given our classroom library a clean, accessible structure. Students can quickly find books at their reading level or interest area and keep their work space tidy. Meanwhile, the Evan-Moor Read and Understand and Daily Math Practice books are being used for targeted skill-building during morning work and small-group intervention time. The consistent, bite-sized practice helps reinforce core concepts without overwhelming them.\r\n\r\nThe Big Reveal\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes first arrived, the classroom was buzzing with excitement! The moment we unboxed the wobble seats and bean bags, my students gasped with joy. One student exclaimed, \"Is this really for us?\" They couldn't wait to test out the different seating choices. Seeing their faces light up was an unforgettable moment; they immediately felt cared for, valued, and recognized as learners with unique needs.\r\n\r\nWhat's Next for Our Learners\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are diving into our next major interdisciplinary unit combining reading comprehension and problem-solving skills. Using our Evan-Moor materials as a foundation, students are working toward a classroom \"Math & Reading Quest\" project.
