Not only are they having fun, they are strengthening their fine motor skills, acquiring English language skills, and engaging in foundational academic learning.\r\n\r\nThis is all thanks to each of you for investing in our students and providing the necessary tools to help our students practice English in meaningful, engaging ways. The new materials—paint, crayons, tissue paper squares, and organizational bins—have completely transformed how we approach art and hands-on learning. One of our favorite recent projects was creating tissue paper \"stained glass\" art. The students carefully arranged colorful squares on clear contact paper, and the results were beautiful! We hung them in our classroom windows, and the sunlight shining through made the room feel like a rainbow.\r\n\r\nThe day the materials arrived felt like a celebration. The students were especially excited about the new crayon sharpener—who knew that would be the star of the show? Several kids lined up just to try it out, and one student said, \"Now our crayons can be sharp forever!\" That small but mighty tool, along with the organized bins and caddies, has helped our classroom feel more structured and independent. Students love being able to find what they need and take care of their materials all by themselves.\r\n\r\nUp next, we're beginning a fall-themed project where students will use paint and tissue paper to create their own trees, adding crayon-drawn animals and storytelling elements. These kinds of projects don't just build fine motor skills—they also help our young learners express emotions, develop language, and feel proud of their creations. Thank you for bringing more color, joy, and learning into our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1755084342702,"projectUrl":"project/kindergarten-creators/9353101/","projectTitle":"Kindergarten Creators","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Shumate","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10034864"},{"teacherId":7136277,"projectId":8338251,"letterContent":"Words cannot express my gratitude for your support of our English Learner students. We were able to build letters, review sounds, and build words. They are decoding (sounding out) and encoding (spelling) their letters and words.
