Your generosity has made a tangible, everyday difference in our kindergarten classroom in ways that are both visible and deeply meaningful. The materials you provided are the kind of foundational supplies that quietly hold a classroom together. The laminating sheets, card stock, sentence strips, and Velcro dots have completely transformed how I create and use learning resources. Instead of making activities that are used once and discarded, I am now able to design durable, reusable materials that can withstand eager five- and six-year-old hands. That means more small-group literacy games, more hands-on math practice, and more interactive centers that build independence and confidence. The Velcro dots, in particular, allow me to create moveable, tactile activities that support early readers and hands-on learners. The laminating sheets ensure that these resources last all year—and even into future school years—stretching your donation far beyond a single moment in time.\r\n\r\nYour donation also strengthened our classroom systems and student independence. The hanging file folders have become our student mailboxes, which has been a game changer. My kindergartners are learning to independently check their mailbox, collect important papers, and pack their folders at the end of the day. What might seem like a simple organizational tool is actually teaching responsibility, ownership, and routine. At this age, those skills are just as important as learning letters and numbers. The card stock and sentence strips have allowed me to create anchor charts, sentence-building activities, and writing supports that stay visible and accessible to students. Because these materials are sturdy and reliable, students can interact with them without fear of tearing or damaging them, which builds confidence and encourages participation.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, your donation has supported the health, creativity, and joy in our classroom. The case of glue sticks ensures that every child can fully participate in projects without having to share limited supplies or worry about running out. The dot markers have brought so much excitement to our art projects and special celebrations like the 100th Day of School. There is something magical about watching students carefully count to 100 using colorful dots, proudly showing off their work with huge smiles. Meanwhile, the disinfecting wipes have been invaluable during cold and flu season. Kindergarten classrooms are full of shared spaces and little hands, and being able to quickly sanitize tables, supplies, and high-touch areas helps keep our students healthier and in school where they belong. Fewer germs mean fewer absences and more consistent learning.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your generosity has not just provided supplies—it has created opportunities. Opportunities for independence, creativity, hands-on learning, and a healthier classroom environment. In a kindergarten room, the smallest tools often make the biggest impact, and because of you, my students have access to the materials they need to explore, create, and grow every single day. Your support has lightened my load as a teacher and empowered my students as learners. For that, we are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1763475368928,"projectUrl":"project/setting-up-mrs-wrights-goose-berry-pat/9484229/","projectTitle":"Setting up Mrs. Wright's Goose Berry Patch!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wright","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4953865_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748777431630","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4953865"},{"teacherId":8635641,"projectId":9478559,"letterContent":"My students and I want to thank you so much for your generous classroom donations! Then they learned how to adjust the microscope's zoom and focus. That is when the real excitement happened! Around the classrooms, you could hear the \"Oh cool! The students were excited to see familiar toys like Legos & the Connect Four game in my classroom. They found it fun to make the rhythms with the Legos and then practice performing the rhythm. The Connect Four game was a little more challenging for them as they had to try to get four beats in a row not four chips. In the end the students were mastering the thought process of how to create four beat rhythms and the strategies necessary to block their opponent. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your support. This type of learning helps the students to think through things on their own or ask a friend for support rather than relying on the teacher. When the students are able to figure things out on their own they start to master the content.","fullyFundedDate":1731519089013,"projectUrl":"project/music-centers-project/8876898/","projectTitle":"Music Centers Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Diamond","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9803806"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_91009","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":385,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":81,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":97,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"10.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":72.3,"schoolId":91009,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Star Central Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"North Star Central Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/north-star-school-district/north-star-central-elementary-school/91009"}
