My first graders could hardly believe their eyes when we opened the boxes there were gasps, cheers, and so many little voices saying, \"Can we play with these right now?\" It was such a joyful moment to see their faces light up as they explored all the new materials together.\r\nThe Magnetic Building Tiles and Brain Flakes quickly became favorites during our STEM centers. Students have been working together to build tall towers, castles, and even \"zoos\" for their toy cars and dolls. I've watched them learn to problem-solve, communicate, and celebrate each other's ideas. The SpringFlower Garden Building Kit has been a huge hit during our science lessons. Students love creating their own colorful flowers before learning about real plant parts. The Crayola crayons and storage boxes have also brought new excitement to writing and art time, helping every child feel proud of their work.\r\nThese new materials have turned our classroom into a place of creativity and cooperation. The pretend play sets have inspired students to write stories, act out community roles, and use their imaginations in new ways. It's amazing to see them learning through play while building friendships and confidence. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving my students these opportunities. Your support has truly made a difference in our daily routine and learning environment.\r\n\r\nYou do not know the impact your donation has made! I am teaching in a low-income school district and there are several children in my classroom that do not bring in a snack daily.\r\n\r\nYour donation has given many children that snack they do not get from their homes. It is also a huge help to me as their teacher. I must spend my own money to provide snacks for those students that do not bring a daily snack.\r\n\r\nBecause of your thoughtful contributions, our students are able to stay energized, focused, and ready to learn each day. The healthy snacks you provided have become a wonderful way to keep little minds and bodies fueled—especially during those long stretches after lunch until the day ends. It's amazing to see how a simple snack can bring smiles, renewed energy, and better concentration during lessons.\r\n\r\nYour donation of cleaning products has also made a tremendous impact. With your help, we're able to keep our classroom fresh, safe, and welcoming for all students. It's comforting to know that we can maintain a healthy learning space where children can thrive.\r\n\r\nAlso, the classroom decorations have made our room looking great! A nice, welcoming classroom makes learning more fun and comfortable.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your kindness reaches far beyond the classroom walls—you've shown our students what it means to care for others and to give back to the community. They notice and appreciate it more than you can imagine.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our classroom and helping our students grow, learn, and shine.","fullyFundedDate":1755995322290,"projectUrl":"project/clean-classroom-and-yummy-snacks/9552339/","projectTitle":"Clean Classroom and Yummy Snacks","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bisco","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9514863"},{"teacherId":9926444,"projectId":9280697,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the new supplies, their eyes lit up with excitement! The building blocks quickly became a class favorite, with groups of students working together to design towers, bridges, and even \"roller coasters.\" These activities not only encouraged creativity but also gave my first graders a chance to practice teamwork and problem-solving. The Play-Doh has been another hit, sparking imaginative play while strengthening fine motor skills that are so important for early writing development.\r\nThe practical items have made just as big an impact. The storage bins keep our classroom neat and organized, which helps students easily access what they need for lessons and transition smoothly between activities. The pencils are being used daily for writing and art projects, making sure that every child has the tools they need to succeed. The cheerful bulletin board decorations have made our classroom feel welcoming and bright, creating an environment where students feel proud to learn and grow.\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students are set up for success this year. Our next steps will be to continue using the building blocks in STEM challenges that tie into our science lessons, and to incorporate Play-Doh into literacy activities like forming letters and spelling words. With your support, we've created a classroom space that fosters creativity, collaboration, and joy in learning. The moment my first graders walked into the classroom and saw the new supplies on their desks, their faces lit up with the biggest smiles. They were absolutely thrilled and could hardly wait to start using everything. One student said, \"It feels like my birthday!\" The excitement and joy you brought to our classroom was truly magical. The Little Spot books have already made a huge impact during our first read-aloud, hands shot up in the air as students connected with the characters and shared their own feelings. These books are helping us dive deeper into understanding emotions, which is a key part of our social-emotional learning focus this year. \r\nAnother heartwarming moment was when we introduced the new snack crate. Several of my students don't always have snacks from home, and the look of surprise and gratitude on their faces when they saw the crate was something I'll never forget. Being able to sit with their friends and enjoy a snack together made them feel included, cared for, and happy. It's such a simple thing that's made a big difference in our classroom community. \r\nRight now, we're using the Little Spot stories to launch a \"Feelings Journal\" project where students write or draw about how they feel each day and what strategies they can use when big feelings come up. It's already fostering great conversations and reflection. These materials have not only supported learning they've created a space filled with comfort, joy, and connection.
