Watching the transformation happen right before their eyes made the science concepts meaningful and memorable.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting moments was releasing the butterflies into the wild. After caring for them and observing their growth for several weeks, students gathered together to say goodbye and watch them take flight. A student who has been struggling to recognize letters independently carefully placed each magnetic letter along the arc while saying the letter names aloud. When she successfully built the whole alphabet, she looked up and said \"I DID IT!
