Because of you, every student in my classroom now has their own pair of headphones, which has completely transformed the way we learn with technology. Whether students are working through coding lessons, exploring digital science pathways, or diving into Mystery Science investigations, the ability to focus independently has made their learning deeper, calmer, and more meaningful. Many of my students may use technology at home, but in the classroom it becomes a powerful tool for differentiation, allowing each student to learn at their own pace, revisit concepts, and build confidence in STEM.\r\n\r\nYou also brought so much excitement and hands-on problem-solving into our room with the puzzles, magnetic tiles, and individual whiteboards. These materials have quickly become student favorites. The magnet tiles are especially loved by our budding engineers, who now spend every spare moment designing towers, bridges, and imaginative structures. The whiteboards have encouraged more participation during brainstorming and problem-solving; even my quietest students now eagerly share their thinking because the boards give them a comfortable, low-pressure way to express ideas.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who usually struggle to stay engaged have shown remarkable growth thanks to these new tools. One student who often felt overwhelmed during whole-group lessons now thrives during independent tech time. The headphones help him focus, and he proudly completes coding levels he once avoided. Another student who rarely spoke up has become one of our most enthusiastic contributors during whiteboard activities, often leading small-group discussions. Your generosity has made these moments possible, and I cannot thank you enough for the joy, confidence, and discovery you have brought into our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1755194004456,"projectUrl":"project/hear-think-discover-stem-for-all/9513168/","projectTitle":"Hear, Think, Discover: STEM for All!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Quinones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8281844"},{"teacherId":9601362,"projectId":8509411,"letterContent":"When my students saw all the materials we got donated into our classroom their faces lit up. They were so excited to see what we got as well as how it would be put into use in our classroom. They could not believe that someone was so generous enough to send us all these things out of the kindness of their heart. Seeing how happy and excited my students got, it made me feel like with the help of my selfless donors that I was truly making a difference in my classroom and in my students lives. \r\nThe bean bags are such a great and cozy addition to the corner of my classroom. They are a part of a calming, relaxing corner that my students can utilize throughout the day. During independent work, free time, indoor recess, or our small group individualized instruction time, you can always find two students back there getting work done while decompressing. Often times these bean bags are paired with the fidget toys for when the students really need some time to decompress and refocus themselves. The games and toys were a beautiful addition to my shelf of activities for them to utilize during indoor recess or free time. I try to gather different things that are fun, engaging, and educational that the students can enjoy for a break. Lastly, the concrete manipulatives and whiteboards are an excellent help to switch up teaching styles, engage students, and help them learn effectively and to their fullest extent.
