Many of my students benefit greatly from structured, real-world learning experiences like this one. Having access to the right supplies helps make those experiences authentic and rewarding.\r\n\r\nBy introducing this new task, we were able to expand our school-wide jobs options, which focuses on preparing students for future employment and independent living. The students take pride in their work and learn valuable lessons in responsibility, teamwork, and attention to detail. Experiences like these are essential in helping them build confidence and develop transferable skills they can use later in life when they enter the workforce. Your donation directly supported this goal and gave my students a sense of ownership and accomplishment that will stay with them far beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nI also wanted to share that I did end up switching schools at the start of this school year. Although I was sad to leave, I made sure to leave the donated supplies behind so that they could continue to benefit my former students and the new students who joined the class. The classroom now has an amazing teacher who is passionate about continuing to build on what we started. She is excited to support the students in any way possible and to keep expanding the school-wide jobs program.
