By allowing the speech-language pathologist to travel from room to room, therapy services have become more flexible and accessible. The cart enables sessions to take place within students' classrooms or nearby spaces, reducing transition time and maximizing instructional minutes. This model also promotes greater collaboration between the speech-language pathologist and classroom teachers, as it allows for more natural opportunities to integrate communication goals into academic settings. Students have responded well to the cart-based sessions, as the materials are organized, engaging, and easily adaptable to different needs. Overall, the speech therapy cart has enhanced efficiency, increased visibility of speech services within the school, and fostered stronger connections between therapy and classroom learning.","fullyFundedDate":1758193683238,"projectUrl":"project/the-chatter-cart/9381001/","projectTitle":"The Chatter Cart","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jacobson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6315103_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1714841589889","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6315103"},{"teacherId":6315103,"projectId":9733291,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donation, our classroom now has an adjustable height desk that is making a big difference for our students! Because our class includes children from Kindergarten through 6th grade, this desk allows us to meet the needs of all learners—no matter their size, learning style, or activity.\r\n\r\nStudents love having the option to sit or stand while they work. This flexibility helps them stay focused, comfortable, and engaged throughout the day. The ability to move and adjust their workspace has been especially helpful for students who learn best when they can be active and hands-on.\r\n\r\nThis desk has also made our classroom more inclusive. It easily adjusts to accommodate every student, helping each child feel confident and capable during lessons and projects. Beyond comfort, it's helping us build healthy habits and promoting a more dynamic, student-centered learning environment.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly helped transform our classroom into a space where students can learn in the way that works best for them. Exploring space can be challenging for young learners, but with these incredible supplies, our students (I shared with the other 1st grade classroom) have been able to experience the wonders of space in a way that is engaging, interactive and fun.\r\n\r\nThe projector allowed us to bring planets, stars, and the moon to life right in our classroom. Instead of just reading about space, students saw the planets up close, watch the phases of the moon, and even observe how Earth obits the sun. This visual and hands on experience has deepened their understanding of space concepts and sparked their curiosity about the universe.\r\n\r\nThe large, hands-on puzzle encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and communication among students as they worked together to complete the image. It provided a multi-sensory learning experience that appealed to visual and kinesthetic learners, helping them better retain information about planets, stars, and the solar system.\r\nThe activity also sparked curiosity and excitement about space, motivating students to ask questions and explore related topics beyond the classroom discussion. \r\n\r\nFinally, by using the \"Astronaut Ice Cream\", students were highly motivated to participate, asked thoughtful questions about how food is preserved and consumed in zero gravity, and made meaningful connections between the science of space travel and their everyday lives. The activity also provided opportunities to integrate STEM concepts such as freeze-drying, nutrition, and engineering challenges in space.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for helping to make our learning environment engaging and inspiring.","fullyFundedDate":1740696913575,"projectUrl":"project/space-exploration-for-1st-grade/8906880/","projectTitle":"Space Exploration for 1st Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hrabovsky","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6890402"},{"teacherId":6315103,"projectId":8973862,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation.
