This is one of the first chapter books that the students have read in school! \r\n We use this book at the beginning of the school year to go over narrative elements, character traits, schema, and point of view! But on top of all of that my students are learning so many life lessons as we navigate through this book! The conversations that we have relating the book to our lives is what I find to be the most impactful for these students! \r\n Everyday we popcorn read a chapter of the book and then we go over discussion questions and relate it to our lesson of the day! The students have been working extremely hard through this book! \r\n We also talked about the kindness that you showed our class by donating these books to us! My students could not believe that someone, who had no idea who we were, would do this for us! Your generosity and kindness didn't go unnoticed! My students always use you as an example when talking about kindness to others! Students can now move freely as they make their coding projects! \r\n\r\nThey were very interested in the how the CHARGE Micro:bit works and figured out quickly how to use it. The first project we tried was a step counter and how to improve the accuracy. With the CHARGE students could get more accurate data and decide how to improve their code to get even better results. Students could all work on this at the same time thanks to your support of this project.
