My classroom is comprised of five kindergarten students and two first graders all who are on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. These students are all nonverbal and communicate in their own ways. When my students become very overwhelmed when they can not regulate their bodies they love to use the sensory bins and swing. They were all so excited when we introduced the sensory bins and swing to them. The items that your amazing donations bought are so popular that we have had to put up the swing during academic times so the students can concentrate! Next steps for the students is to be able to access these materials when needed and then put them away and come back to the activity that they were previously working on. \r\nI want to communicate just how important people like you are to public education and for students with special needs to have a meaningful education. Words will never be able to fully convey my gratitude to each and everyone one of you.","fullyFundedDate":1762364435750,"projectUrl":"project/kinder-1st-2nd-autism-classroom/9702319/","projectTitle":"Kinder, 1st, 2nd Autism Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rachel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9887800_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1736909543016","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9887800"},{"teacherId":9847094,"projectId":9488408,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the stools that my students can use as another seating option. Wiping down all surfaces each week gives me peace of mind that my students have a better chance of staying healthy and being at school learning.","fullyFundedDate":1757560880496,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-second-grade/9488408/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Second Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gomez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9847094_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733168282192","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9847094"},{"teacherId":10261277,"projectId":9714298,"letterContent":"You cannot imagine how appreciative my students were when they received the materials that were donated. As soon as we introduced the new items, the tone of the classroom shifted in a noticeable and positive way. Students who often struggle to stay still or focused immediately gravitated toward the supports because they offered a productive outlet for their energy. Being able to wiggle or move quietly without disrupting others has allowed several students to settle into their work more naturally. One student in particular said, \"Oh Mrs. Ponce, this will for sure help me focus in class,\" and while it was a simple statement, it captured exactly what many of them were feeling. These tools provided a sense of relief and comfort that helped them engage academically with fewer barriers in their way. The materials were practical, easy to use, and instantly incorporated into our daily routines, which made the transition smooth for both the students and myself.\r\n\r\nWhat stood out just as much as their excitement was their eagerness to express gratitude. Writing can be challenging for some of my students, but they were motivated to write thank-you letters because they understood that someone had invested in their learning. That sense of ownership and appreciation is not something I can create on my own; it comes from students recognizing the value of what they've been given. Beyond their excitement, I have already seen meaningful changes in the classroom. Three students in particular, who usually spend a significant amount of time shifting in and out of their seats, have been able to remain more focused and productive with the foot bouncers. Instead of frequent interruptions or constant redirection, these students now have a way to manage their restlessness in a controlled and appropriate manner. This shift has helped them participate in lessons more consistently and complete tasks with greater independence. These improvements may seem small on the surface, but for these students, they truly make a day-to-day difference.\r\n\r\nI also want to acknowledge that this is something I would not have been able to provide without your support. Teachers often stretch their resources as far as possible, but some tools simply fall outside what we can purchase on our own. Your donation filled a need that directly supports student learning, focus, and comfort. Because of your generosity, students who previously struggled to stay engaged now have access to tools that help them be more successful in the classroom. The impact has been immediate, steady, and very noticeable. Thank you for taking the time to invest in our classroom and for giving my students access to materials that genuinely help them do their best each day. Your contribution has made a meaningful difference, and we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1763421479382,"projectUrl":"project/help-our-active-3rd-graders-stay-focused/9714298/","projectTitle":"Help Our Active 3rd Graders Stay Focused and Engaged","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ponce","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10261277_orig.png?crop=874,874,x0,y154&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757869248266","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10261277"},{"teacherId":9847094,"projectId":8972983,"letterContent":"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity!
