Through our work with The Zones of Regulation, students are learning to identify, label, and communicate their feelings using a shared emotional language. They are also building practical strategies to cope with frustration, anxiety, disappointment, and other big emotions that can interfere with learning.\r\nThese books have added a fun, engaging, and dynamic component to our small groups and individual sessions. Students are more willing to participate, reflect, and discuss when literature is incorporated into lessons. The stories provide relatable examples that make abstract emotional concepts concrete and accessible.\r\nBecause of this project, I have been able to accomplish my goal of spreading emotional regulation strategies into the general education setting. Teachers are now integrating common language and strategies from The Zones of Regulation into their classrooms, creating consistency and reinforcing skills throughout the school day. This alignment between specialized support and general education has strengthened student understanding and application of emotional regulation skills.\r\nThank you for supporting our social-emotional learning!","fullyFundedDate":1766500264331,"projectUrl":"project/zones-book-nook/9749810/","projectTitle":"Zones Book Nook","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Paine","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1240166_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1487303362410","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-painepreschool"},{"teacherId":1240166,"projectId":9010878,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating to our project.
