Students are playing together, building friendships, staying active, and genuinely enjoying their breaks. We have even noticed a decrease in behavioral issues because students now have something fun, positive, and engaging to do with their energy. The overall atmosphere of our school feels happier!\r\n\r\nWe distributed the sports equipment throughout the school so that classrooms have easy access to it, making teachers more likely to take their students outside for movement breaks and activities. We were also able to fully stock our recess equipment bin, giving students actual options for playing and connecting during their free time.\r\n\r\nWhat may seem like a simple donation of sports equipment has truly transformed parts of our school day. You didn't just give us soccer balls, footballs, and volleyballs. With all the new balls and other supplies, we now have a much wider variety of equipment available for outdoor play. It has been wonderful to see students playing together, encouraging one another, and making the most of their time outside.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw all the new equipment, they were so excited! They loved having so many options to choose from and being able to participate in different games and activities. Having plenty of equipment means more students can join in at once, share experiences with their classmates, and enjoy their outdoor time without having to wait as long for supplies.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using the equipment during outdoor breaks and activities to encourage movement, teamwork, cooperation, and positive social interactions. Your generosity has brought so many exciting, hands-on learning opportunities into our classroom, and my students are already putting everything to great use.\r\n\r\nOur human torso model with removable organs has been a huge hit! My students absolutely love exploring the different organs and learning how they fit together. They even named him Crash! He will be the perfect addition to our upcoming body systems units and will help make these concepts much more concrete and engaging for my students.\r\n\r\nThe caterpillars have also been a favorite! My students are so excited to watch them grow and eventually morph into butterflies. It has been such a fun way to bring the life cycle to life right in our classroom.\r\n\r\nMy students have also enjoyed examining the insect specimens, which give them the opportunity to observe structures up close that they normally wouldn't get to see. And the new volleyballs have already been a hit during our health and physical education activities!\r\n\r\nFinally, the large supply of latex gloves is incredibly helpful. We do several dissections throughout the year, and having enough gloves on hand will keep us stocked and ready for all of our hands-on investigations.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and giving them the opportunity to learn by doing. Students read independently, in small groups, and as a class. You might see them annotating pages with sticky notes, turning and talking to a partner about a powerful moment, or eagerly raising their hands to share a connection they made.
