My students come from a variety of backgrounds and I am so grateful that I am able to provide them with such an elaborate library of books to choose from. This project funded books about historical figures, picture books about neurodiversity teaching how we can be inclusive and kind classmates, and a fictional series about a robot that might be my favorite read aloud of the year. My hope is to make reading enjoyable for all my students by finding a series or genre they love to read! \r\n\r\nThe additional classroom supplies have supported my class in a variety of ways. The whiteboards help me to give every student an opportunity to share their work with the class and feel pride in their abilities. They have opportunities to learn from their classmates and share work in a way that is more engaging than paper and pencils. The colors of the world colored pencils ensure that all students are able to make art that looks like themselves, and others. The chart paper creates opportunities to save big concepts for students to review at a later date. All of these materials support my classroom, students, and myself in a variety of ways.
