Your generosity in supporting our DonorsChoose project for new stickers, books, a bookshelf, and fidgets has made an immediate and lasting impact on my students — and on me as their teacher.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe fidgets have also been a game changer. In a classroom filled with diverse learners, tools that support focus and self-regulation are not extras — they are essentials. These fidgets give students a healthy, productive outlet for energy and anxiety, allowing them to stay engaged in lessons and feel more in control of their learning environment. \r\n\r\nAnd the stickers — They are being used to celebrate effort, kindness, perseverance, and growth. The smiles that come from earning one say everything about how much those small moments matter.\r\n\r\nYour support goes far beyond materials. You've helped create a space that feels welcoming, supportive, and joyful. You've shown my students that there are people out there who believe in them — people who are willing to invest in their success even without ever meeting them. That message is powerful. It builds confidence. It builds community. It builds hope.\r\n\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in our classroom. Thank you for believing in these students. And thank you for making a tangible difference that will continue to impact them long after the stickers are used, the books are read, and the fidgets are shared.","fullyFundedDate":1767002730624,"projectUrl":"project/passion-for-reading/9682205/","projectTitle":"Passion for Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kaber","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7427555_orig.jpg?crop=735,735,x0,y102&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1632163953822","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7427555"},{"teacherId":6911726,"projectId":9601885,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our middle school percussion class. Because of you, our students now have new drum practice pads that are already making a huge difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nBefore this project, many of our percussionists had limited opportunities to practice proper technique without disturbing others. Now, every student can work on stick control, rhythm accuracy, and hand coordination at the same time. The drum pads allow us to focus on fundamentals while keeping students engaged, confident, and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nOur students were thrilled when the pads arrived. They immediately noticed how professional they felt using the same type of equipment real percussionists practice with. These pads are helping students build discipline, improve focus, and develop musical skills that will stay with them long after middle school.\r\n\r\nYour generosity directly supports creativity, teamwork, and self-expression in our music program. Your support has given us the basic necessities—the feed, the seeds, and the tools—that turned a classroom concept into a living, breathing experience for our students, bridging the gap between theory and the real agricultural cycle.\r\nWe have put these resources to work immediately in a project that truly captures the spirit of agricultural science. Our students are using the new equipment to prep the soil and plant the seeds, getting a real feel for plant biology and sustainable practices. The highlight for me, though, has been watching the students connect the dots between the garden and our chicken coop.\r\nWe've shown them that what we harvest, along with select scraps from the school cafeteria, can become nutritious feed for our flock. Witnessing the exact moment they grasped this closed-loop system—from a tiny seed in the ground, to a mature plant, to nourishing our animals, and ultimately enriching our soil again—was a powerful, unforgettable teaching moment. It demonstrated the interdependence of life in a way no textbook ever could.\r\nLooking ahead, the students are currently keeping a close watch for the first green sprouts emerging from the garden beds. Their immediate focus is tending these young lives and managing the chickens' meal times. The big picture, the ultimate lesson, is for them to observe the full growth cycle, harvest the crops, and then analyze the nutritional difference between their own student-grown feed and what we buy commercially.\r\nYour contribution is the very reason these vital lessons in science, ecology, and responsibility have come to life. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for believing in our students and investing in our shared future and understanding of sustainable agriculture.","fullyFundedDate":1757094201905,"projectUrl":"project/were-sproutin-up-some-knowledge/9661583/","projectTitle":"We're Sproutin' Up Some Knowledge","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Morris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7013066_orig.jpg?crop=1206,1205,x0,y502&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756414652111","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7013066"},{"teacherId":10295375,"projectId":9779786,"letterContent":"I want to thank you for your generosity in funding my project for books. I seem to have two groups of readers; voracious and reluctant. My thought in requesting graphic novels for my library was to reach the reluctant readers. Graphic novels are bright and fun and easier to read for some than a regular novel. \r\n\r\nMy graphic novel shelf went from drab to fab with your contributions! As soon as the books arrived and I put them on the shelf, student interest was high. I had students check the books out, tell their friends there were new books, and practically all the new books were checked out within a couple of days. \r\n\r\nWhat I really appreciate about the historical graphic novels is that students are learning important pieces of our history in a fun and engaging way.
