This has forced a shift in our classrooms and tools we provide for kids. The Calming Tools you helped me purchase are the one way I am providing some calming of the anxieties for kids.\r\n\r\nThe tools help kids soothe themselves with providing a focusing effect for them while listening to we learn to use these tools as tools and not toys. We learn to be discreet with them so as not to distract others and defeat the purpose. The addition of the jellyfish tank has been so wonderful. The kids check in with them each morning and enjoy watching them swim. \r\n\r\nWe all appreciate your donation and want you to know the positive impact it has had in our classroom. My definition of reading is broad and most definitely includes graphic novels. The ones that I have chosen are popular or are versions of typical novels. The kids are so excited to read them every day. They have created a system to share but also keep their place within the book as they return them to the shelf each day. ALL kids can access graphic novels and they can get even the most reluctant reader reading.
