Literally when I had everything set up with the nets and paddles and balls, when the students walked in the gym, they would say wow out loud! These were the moments and feelings that you were able to create! \r\n\r\nI let each of my classes know that these items were donated from donors' choice and I could see their eyes getting bigger and felt so supported! This is exactly what they need in their lives! We were able to practice skills like balancing different balls on the paddles, serving pickleballs and the older grades playing the full pickle ball games! Some children had never played before and loved it! We even got some of our teachers who loved playing pickleball to come in and connect with students and play! \r\n\r\nYou'll see in some of the pictures we that we used the materials for our adaptive PE classes and the size of the nets were perfect so they could still hit the ball over the net and get that feeling of playing a real game! It was a great visual for them to see how to hit the ball over a net or throw it to someone on the other side!
