The new trumpet and electric guitar have already been put to work in our stage band rehearsals, giving students the opportunity to learn instruments and styles they otherwise would not have had access to. The fresh reeds have made a noticeable difference for our woodwind players, allowing them to produce a stronger, more consistent sound and focus on making music instead of struggling with worn-out equipment.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on our students' faces when they opened the boxes was unforgettable. Many of them immediately wanted to try the new instruments, and our guitar player couldn't wait to plug in and start learning our first songs. Even our experienced musicians were excited to receive new reeds, knowing how much they improve both sound quality and confidence. It reminded our students that there are people beyond our community who truly believe in them and want them to succeed.\r\n\r\nAs we continue building our stage band program, these resources will help us prepare music from jazz, rock, pop, and contemporary styles for school concerts and community performances. Students are learning not only how to perform, but also how to listen, collaborate, improvise, and support one another as an ensemble. Every rehearsal is another step toward creating memorable performances and lifelong musicians, and your generosity has made those opportunities possible. Thank you for investing in our students and helping them discover what they are capable of achieving.","fullyFundedDate":1692790724573,"projectUrl":"project/stage-band/7586748/","projectTitle":"Stage Band!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Randy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8828889_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1690749289655","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8828889"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_86209","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":636,"numTeachers":40,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":14,"percentIndigenous":51,"percentLatinx":16,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":15,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":42.9,"schoolId":86209,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Stilwell High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Stilwell High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/stilwell-school-district-i-25/stilwell-high-school/86209"}
