As a math teacher, I have my students use paper every day to work out their assignments and quizzes. The set of Staples Filler Paper will be used by numerous students in each class. Some students can't afford school supplies and will use the paper every day, while others will use the paper as needed to make up a test or assignment outside of their class hour. \r\n The card stock will be used during classes such as Geometry to make colorful 3 dimensional figures. This will help my students to see the figures in color and use for assignments. It will also be used in my middle school 7th Grade Honors Math for Area and Volume.\r\n The most important part of the project is the purchase of a color printer, ink and post-it notes. I use the printer to help my students that are absent from class by printing from a template what the assignment that was turned in, if we took notes and the assignment that was assigned for the day. I also use the post-it notes for graphs to help students with their homework. Finally as Robotic Competition Season is about to start, I will use the printer to print in color team notebooks which show a log of the team progress with pictures to be judged at meets. My students are using them every day in class and during marching band rehearsals, and the difference in sound has been remarkable. The new snare side heads give us the crisp articulation we need for clean rudimental playing, and the tenor heads provide a fuller, more resonant tone. We first put them to use during our halftime show practices, and it was exciting to hear the entire drumline lock in with a sound that carried across the field with clarity.\r\n\r\nWhen the drum heads arrived, my students were immediately excited. Several of them gathered around as we installed the new heads, and they couldn't wait to play the first rolls and cadences. Their faces lit up when they heard the sharp, professional sound compared to the worn-out heads we had been using. That moment of excitement gave them a renewed sense of pride in their role as the heartbeat of our band.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my percussionists are preparing for both our upcoming marching performances and our winter concert season. With the improved response and sound quality, they are now able to focus on refining technique and playing with more musical precision. As a small, rural school, funding for essential equipment is always a challenge, and this grant has allowed us to provide our students with the tools they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nFlip folders are a critical resource for our marching and pep band performances, as they allow students to easily access their music on the field and in the stands. Before receiving this grant, many of our students were using outdated or damaged folders, which made it difficult to manage their music during performances. Thanks to this grant, every student now has a reliable and durable flip folder, ensuring they can focus on their performance rather than worrying about keeping track of loose or torn sheets.\r\n\r\nThe new flip folders have significantly improved our efficiency during rehearsals and performances, enabling us to prepare and perform with greater confidence and organization.
