I was especially pleased to see students using new animal vocabulary as they described their creations and explained their thinking to their classmates.\r\n\r\nThese materials have made it easier to provide hands-on science experiences for my early elementary students. They compare designs, talk about the patterns they created, and help one another when they are trying something new. The pencil sharpener has also made it easier for students to keep their colored pencils ready to use.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using these materials for seasonal and nature-inspired art projects.
