My students love the \"name wall\" project that we work on all year long. We have a somewhat large high school, and we hope that by recognizing each student several times per year on the name wall, we are sending the message that every person here is seen and important. Each season, we display a seasonally appropriate cutout with a student's name on each. This seems like such a small thing, but every time we construct a new name wall with everyone accounted for on their cutout, there are students clustered working to find their name. Additionally, they do things like remove their cutout and relocate it to a spot outside their favorite teacher's room, or find all their friends' names and relocate all those names so that they are all taped together like a chain. I've seen several students with their cutout taped to their class notebook.\r\n\r\nThe name wall is proof that sometimes the smallest little efforts make a big difference. At the beginning of this year, we were struggling to maintain and create the name wall as regularly as we hoped because we had minimal supplies. We relied on an elementary school for their equipment, but that involves students having to leave school, and I had concerns with that. Now, with the equipment you have funded, we are able to complete the name wall often and more creatively than ever before.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, we are finding more uses for the equipment. We have used it to make name tags for goodie bags, cutouts for teacher door decorating, iron-on shapes for DIY shirts for our informal school dance, and decorations for thank you notes for donors to our philanthropy projects.\r\n\r\nI am so appreciative of your support of our project and our program. Your generosity has made a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1733271316843,"projectUrl":"project/name-wall/8962404/","projectTitle":"NAME WALL","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp318385_orig.jpg?crop=1291,1291,x204,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746375112568","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/318385"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_87394","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1773,"numTeachers":63,"percentFrplEligible":75,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":57,"percentIndigenous":13,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"28.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.5,"schoolId":87394,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Charles Page High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Charles Page High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/sand-springs-public-schools/charles-page-high-school/87394"}
