Many immediately connected the ideas to the students they work with every day. As discussions unfolded, teachers expressed relief at having practical tools that align with empathy, collaboration, and brain-based understanding. Several shared that the book helped them feel more confident and supported when working with students who experience frequent frustration or disengagement.\r\n\r\nBecause of this project, teachers are now continuing collaborative conversations around problem-solving, emotional regulation, and proactive supports. With the new covers in place, students can focus on learning without worrying about papers sticking or materials getting damaged. The tables are now clean, smooth, and ready for learning at any moment.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the table covers, they were excited and curious. Several commented on how nice the tables looked and how much easier it was to write and work on them. The improved surface has helped students stay engaged longer, especially those who struggle with attention or sensory sensitivities. The best moment so far was seeing a first-grader, without any prompting, stop to pick up a stray wrapper and put it in one of the new cans.
