Because of you and your kindness, my classroom has been transformed into a space where students have access to the reading supplies and manipulatives they need to build strong foundational skills. Your support has already made a meaningful difference, and I truly cannot thank you enough.\r\n\r\nLearning to read is one of the most important milestones in a child's education, and for my first graders, it is also one of the most exciting. These children are at such a critical stage in their development, and having the right tools at the right time can completely change their learning experience. Thanks to your generosity, we now have engaging, hands-on manipulatives, interactive games, and carefully chosen resources that make the process of learning to read both effective and fun.\r\n\r\nFrom the very first day we introduced the new materials, my students were drawn in with enthusiasm. Their eyes lit up as they explored letter tiles, word-building manipulatives, and other resources that allowed them to see, touch, and physically interact with words and sounds. The excitement in the room was contagious, and what could have been an ordinary day of phonics practice quickly turned into an adventure of discovery.\r\n\r\nI've already seen incredible growth in both confidence and skill. Students who once hesitated to participate during reading activities are now eagerly volunteering to use the new tools. They are motivated to try, to take risks, and to celebrate their successes. These manipulatives help turn abstract concepts—like blending sounds or recognizing sight words—into concrete, hands-on experiences. This shift is giving my students a deeper understanding of what it means to be readers, and it is building a foundation they will carry with them for years to come.\r\n\r\nWhat makes this gift so impactful is that it simply would not have been possible without your help. As a teacher, I strive to provide the very best learning opportunities for my students, but classroom budgets are limited, and resources like these are often out of reach. Your generosity has bridged that gap. You saw the importance of investing in young learners, and because of that, my students now have access to materials that directly support their reading growth and success.\r\n\r\nThe joy and pride I see in my students' faces as they learn is the most beautiful reminder of the impact you have made. For some children, these manipulatives have unlocked a love of reading they didn't know was possible. For others, the supplies have given them the confidence to keep trying, even when learning feels hard. Every day, I see small victories—smiles, laughter, and that spark of understanding—and I know those moments were made possible by your generosity.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of myself and my students, thank you for believing in us. Thank you for supporting our classroom and helping us embark on this important journey of learning to read. Your kindness will have a lasting impact, and we are forever grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1753970509352,"projectUrl":"project/lets-learn-to-read/9313202/","projectTitle":"Let's Learn to READ!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tabitha Braden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6507855_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1607786471508","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/t-braden"},{"teacherId":6507855,"projectId":9313415,"letterContent":"I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your generosity and kindness in supporting my recent DonorsChoose project. Because of you, our classroom has been blessed with an incredible collection of indoor recess supplies that are already making such a big difference in the lives of my students.\r\n\r\nIndoor recess can sometimes be tricky for first graders. They are full of energy, eager to play, and need opportunities to socialize and use their imaginations, even when the weather keeps us inside. Thanks to you and all of the donors who contributed, our classroom now has fun, engaging, and exciting resources that help turn those indoor recess times into joyful moments rather than challenges.\r\n\r\nFrom the very first day the supplies arrived, the students' eyes lit up with excitement. They could hardly wait to explore the new games, building sets, and creative activities. It has been heartwarming to watch them spread out around the classroom, working together, laughing, and enjoying every moment. These materials have already become a favorite part of their day, and it's only the beginning of the school year!\r\n\r\nThe impact goes beyond just \"playtime.\" During indoor recess, I see students developing problem-solving skills as they figure out how to build something together. I see teamwork in action when they take turns or collaborate on a game. I see friendships growing stronger because these supplies encourage children to interact in positive, cooperative ways. And maybe most importantly, I see joy. My classroom has been filled with laughter and smiles, even on rainy days when being stuck inside could have been disappointing.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, it is inspiring to watch how much these resources mean to my students. They are not only playing—they are learning to communicate, share, and express themselves in healthy, creative ways. For some of my students, school is where they feel the happiest and safest, and your donation has made their school day even brighter.\r\n\r\nIt is difficult to fully express the gratitude I feel toward you and the other donors who chose to support this project. I know there are countless classrooms in need, and the fact that you chose ours is truly humbling. Your generosity has created an immediate and lasting impact, and it is a gift that will continue giving throughout the year and beyond.\r\n\r\nThe students often ask me, \"Who gave us all this?\" and I explain that kind and generous people—people they may never meet—wanted to help them learn and grow. The looks on their faces when they hear that are priceless. They are amazed that someone out there cares enough to give them these opportunities, and I believe it is a lesson in kindness that they will carry with them for a long time.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of myself and my students, thank you again for your support. Your generosity has filled our classroom with joy, laughter, and learning, and we are so grateful. You have made a real difference, and we appreciate you more than words can say.","fullyFundedDate":1752076379424,"projectUrl":"project/indoor-recess-is-fun/9313415/","projectTitle":"Indoor Recess IS FUN!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tabitha Braden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6507855_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1607786471508","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/t-braden"},{"teacherId":7276214,"projectId":9176082,"letterContent":"Thank You , Thank You for all of these new STEM and critical thinking games for our Math Stations.
